2. What we collect
- Identity & contact details: name, email, phone, property address.
- Project information: type of works, neighbour details, dates, drawings and plans you upload.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, basic analytics.
- Correspondence: anything you send us by form, email or phone.
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
- Performance of a contract — to provide quotes, serve notices, prepare Awards and book inspections.
- Legal obligation — to meet our duties under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 and professional regulations (FPWS, RPSA).
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve the site, and to respond to enquiries.
- Consent — where you have explicitly opted in (e.g. marketing).
4. Who we share it with
We only share your data where necessary: with the adjoining owner's surveyor (where the Act requires), our hosting and email providers (acting as data processors under contract), and authorities where required by law. We never sell your data.
5. How long we keep it
Matter files (notices, Awards, Schedules of Condition) are retained for 15 years from completion in line with our professional indemnity insurance requirements. Enquiry-only data is deleted after 24 months.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and request portability. Email info@partywallhub.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the site working (session, security). We do not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies without your consent.
8. Security
Data is hosted on secure UK/EU infrastructure, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorised personnel.
